New-York électrique depuis l'Empire State Building.

Going on a trip to the other side of the world is to confront the jet lag. Don't really know where to start, how to get around the problem, how to deal with those schedules that our body is not accustomed to yet. Let go and follow its desires or impose ourselves a rythm by following that of this new country as soon as we leave the plane ?

It was 7am and no need for an alarm clock to make me open my eyes this Tuesday morning. My New-York experience only began two days ago and my lifestyle was nothing like that of France or the US even if this early awakening betrayed a jetlag not yet mastered.

New-York bathed under a blue sky after the rainy whim of the day before. The city was no longer a succession of pedestrian crossings, streets and avenues but a vast playground where we could finally look up to the sky to see the immensity of the building and the different architectural styles. The excessiveness had knocked on our doors, we, tourists, inhabitants, humans from all over the world. Everything was big but not enough to make me feel oppressed by these wide avenues and these long buildings.

Little oppresses me, the immensely big inspires me and make me inspire. So to discover the city from another angle and inspire until having breathtaking I let New York charm me with one of the assets that only big cities offer to my eyes, their skyline illuminated ...

From the top of the Empire State Building New-York didn't dominate us anymore but we dominated many strategic places of the city. Those who are always relayed by the media, those who inspire the cinema, those who make us dreaming up to the other end of the world. On one side Times Square, on the other the One World Trade Center, further on the Chrysler Building. Each light drew the Big Apple as one realizes a piece of art by the technique of pointillism. We were so high, we dominated so far that even New Jersey was inviting itself to the New-York waltz in this swarm of lights that represented offices but also homes, lives, families.

Crop, zoom, press the shutter button, start again. Capturing New York under an electric coat at midnight left no place for a jetlag not yet mastered but allowed a return to my usual France pace when at 10 am on Wednesday morning I was not yet up and the following days either ...
