Traversée par la rivière Salzach la ville est divisée en deux parties avec d'un côté la rue commerçante qui mène à la colline des capucins puis à l'église Saint-Sébastien pour enfin terminer par le cimetière où repose Mozart ainsi que sa famille. La seconde partie est celle que je vais vous présenter par le biais des photos qui vont suivre et du prochain article. Il s'agit de la vieille ville de Salzbourg qui fût autrefois le point de rencontre entre la culture italienne et allemande. Une fusion qui révéla une architecture baroque encore très présente aujourd'hui !

Mais les éléments qui font également le charme de cette petite ville autrichienne sont les rues composées de maisons anciennes, de petites places et impasses où l'on s'arrête pour manger ou boire un café, la célèbre rue Getreidegasse reconnaissable grâce aux enseignes des magasins qui sont en fer forgé sans oublier la forteresse d'Hohensalzburg qui domine la ville.
